These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as "T&C") apply to all orders placed through the FHP website and all contracts concluded via email (hereinafter collectively referred to as "orders") - unless otherwise agreed in writing. Within this document, the word "client (s)" will refer to you. The word "Product(s)" will refer to all physical goods (e.g. stationery and sample sets) provided by FHP to you.

FHP reserves the right to change the T&C at any time without prior notice. The valid version of the T&C at the time of placing the order through the website or by concluding a contract by email shall apply.

By accessing the website as well as placing an order or requesting a quote, the client agrees to be bound by these T&C.


If the client disagrees with any part of these T&C then the client will not be able to access the service offered.


To be eligible to place orders and lawfully enter into and form a contract with FHP, the client must be 18 years of age or older.


Hand-made products

Due to the natural variability of the hand-made process, FHP is unable to accept returns or reprints for any of the reasons listed below.


Letterpress printing

Letterpress printing is a hand-crafted process where every single step is done manually: from ink mixing to application, from paper cutting to printing. For this reason, due to its handmade nature, every single piece may differ from one another in ink coverage, ink color, impression, and registration. Large areas, e.g. large drawings or a lot of text, will give less impression compared to small areas with little text and minimal details.


Cotton Paper

Cotton is a naturally grown raw material that is not chemically homogenized. Occasional irregularities in color (light or dark spots) are typical for pure cotton papers and underline their natural character. For this reason, each batch of paper or envelopes may differ in several ways from each other as well as by color, shape, size, texture, and printability. So please note that these features are not dependent on FHP.

Colors and printing

FHP offers a varied color palette: the colored inks are mixed by hand from basic colors according to the solid uncoated Pantone® Formula Guide. Hand-mixed inks may present some variability, especially among separate print runs (e.g., additional orders or reprints). FHP implements a color-managed workflow from the design to the print, nevertheless, please be aware that the colors of printed products may appear different from the colors displayed on the screen, due to the client’s specific screen, to varying lighting conditions, and to the natural variability of hand-mixed inks.


Orders, Proofs, and Production

Client Content and Artwork

Please be aware that Fire Hound Press must approve any artwork before the printing process begins. We do not print any art content or text that is controversial, political, offensive, scary, or that is associated with any type of political or controversial agenda. I run my business while homeschooling my kids during the day. All content must be fit for little eyes to see. 

Custom Stationery

The first step for the client is to contact FHP to discuss their need and request a non-binding quote. Each quote is unique, as well as the needs of each client. Once the quote has been requested, FHP will send it to the client as soon as possible. The quote is valid for 30 days: after this period, it will be necessary to request another one. After accepting the quote, the client will receive the first digital proof within 5-7 working days.

Website Orders

For orders that require semi-custom printing, the client will receive the first digital proof within 5-7 working days.

Orders without semi-custom printing will be processed within 3-5 business days.

Kraft paper ins and outs

FHP reserves the right to change its Kraft paper supplier at any moment. FHP will change kraft paper suppliers if the suppliers’ stock becomes low. FHP strives to keep costs low for its customers; therefore, we might change kraft paper suppliers without notice. Although FHP finds it extremely important to achieve product consistency, kraft paper products might differ slightly in color and texture in subsequent orders. Also, due to the nature of recycled materials, each color lot of kraft paper may be slightly different in subsequent orders.


The digital proofing process includes three proofing rounds for any adjustments, edits, and corrections. Each additional revision round will be invoiced at $45 per round.

FHP does not offer hard copy proofs, due to the high costs of letterpress setup and printing.

FHP aims to fulfill orders within 1-2 weeks from the final digital proof approval. One week for plate processing and one week for printing.

Since FHP is dependent on different suppliers of raw materials to fulfill the orders, please note that, on rare occasions, delays are possible. FHP will keep the client up to date with the order status.

Conclusion of a contract

Online shop
An order shall be deemed to be concluded when FHP receives it from the client through the website. The client will receive an order confirmation by email after the order has been placed.

Custom Stationery
An order shall be deemed concluded when the client confirms via email the acceptance of the quote provided by FHP. When the client purchases any product or service from FHP, the client agrees to provide certain information relevant to the order, including personal data, such as name and surname, email address, credit card number, billing address, and shipping information. The client warrants to have the legal right to use any credit card(s) or another payment method in connection with any purchase or order and that the information provided is true, correct, and complete. To facilitate the purchase of the Sample sets, the FHP website uses third-party services (e.g. PayPal, Stripe). By submitting the information, the client grants FHP the right to supply the information to these third parties.



Prices are displayed in US dollars. FHP is not subject to the payment of VAT. The prices stated on the website or in the quote sent by email at the time of placing an order shall apply.



Online shop

The amount will be fully charged at the time of purchase on the client's card. The accepted payment methods through Stripe are Visa (credit and debit cards), MasterCard (credit and debit cards), American Express, Diner's Club, JCB, Apple Pay. PayPal is also accepted.

Custom Stationery

50% of the payment is required as a deposit when the client approves the quote. The final 50% balance is required when the client approves the final digital proof and before production begins. Payments are made by bank transfer or credit card and will be provided via email through our invoice service.



FHP ships all products to the United States and abroad with United States Postal Service(USPS). All packages are tracked. Custom products are insured and require a signature upon delivery.

We ship all items via USPS from Fort Worth, Texas. A tracking number will be generated & emailed to you by the carrier. Please check your junk mail as it sometimes ends up in there!

Website orders are processed 48 to 72 hours after they are placed. Please note orders ship Mon-Fri only.

Website orders with printing are processed 2 weeks after final digital proof approval

Custom order processing times will vary with each project and will be stated on the initial quote sent to the client.

First Class Mail takes 3-7 days depending on location

Priority Mail takes 1-3 days depending on location

First Class International Mail (time) depends on location.

We cannot be held responsible once there is confirmation a package has been shipped and delivered.

FHP is not responsible for any delays, damages, or loss caused by the carrier as well as FHP is not responsible for any errors made by the client (e.g. delivery to a neighbor, having provided a wrong or incomplete address, not having picked up the package at the deposit point).

International shipping

FHP only accepts domestic orders through its website.  Please email sherree@firehoundpress.com for all international orders.




Your satisfaction is important to FHP. We want you to be satisfied with every item you purchase. FHP accepts returns for 30 days from the delivery date. If you wish to return or exchange an item for any reason, please email sherree@firehoundpress for approval. The items must be in the original packaging unopened in a resalable condition. Opened products or products with damaged packaging will not be accepted and a refund or exchange will not be approved. The Customer is responsible for return shipping and insurance on returns except when defective or incorrect products are sent. Refunds will be issued upon return of the product in good condition and should appear on your credit card statement within 7 to 14 days.

Clearance, Sale, and Specials are not returnable. These are final sale items. Credits will be credited to the credit card used for the purchase.

Semi-custom products are non-returnable since they are tailored to the specific needs of the client.

FHP does not accept returns of sample sets.


Cancellations, errors, and refunds

FHP is able to cancel the order and process a full refund of the paid sum, as long as any digital proofs have not yet been sent to the client. If proofs have already been sent, a cancellation fee equal to half of the paid sum will be applied: this is due to the time spent designing the custom proofs.

FHP will start creating (semi-)bespoke products only after receiving a final proof approval by email. If the client needs to cancel the order or to make a change after the final proof approval, the client shall contact FHP by email as soon as possible. In case the print has not yet gone into production, FHP will be able to refund half of the paid sum. In case the printing process has already started, no refunds will be made.

To avoid errors, it is highly recommended to carefully check all the information, design, grammar, spelling, and size of the digital proof prior to final approval. The final approval is the responsibility of the client. Please note that FHP will not be able to refund an order, or accept a return due to errors on the final approved proof.

FHP restored 1908 Chandler and Price platen press to print special stationery with a unique look and feel. The press antiquity corroborates its reliability and durability. However, in the unlikely event of a sudden platen press failure that could result in significant production delay, FHP will immediately inform the client and will fully refund the amount already paid.

FHP reserves the right to not print articles with profanity, unethical messages, or text and images that it's not comfortable printing. FHP will immediately notify the client by email and refund the full amount of the order to the client if the above is found.


FHP holds the copyright for all stationery design, artwork, and website content (including but not limited to text, logos, photos, and videos), unless where otherwise specified. These are not to be reproduced without the prior written consent of FHP.

Neither the client nor any third party has the right to copy or reproduce, digitally or physically, any of the FHP designs from sketches, digital proofs, pictures, or prints. Likewise, FHP will not reproduce the work of other designers that the client has seen elsewhere. In such a case, the client should contact and order products directly from the original designer.

Any improper use of the digital designs and printed products listed above will be pursued with legal action.


Web and Website

The FHP website is constantly updated, nevertheless, errors or inaccuracies may occur in descriptions or contents.

FHP may experience delays in updating information on the FHP website, in advertising, and in other websites (such as social media and press).

Service suspension

FHP reserves the right to suspend the website or to halt accepting new orders without prior notice, for any reason, and without limitation.
